HOW FEES ARE SET

Fees reflect the complexity of the matter, the time required and what is at stake, and are confirmed in a written fee agreement, as required by article 10 of the law of 31 December 1971.

For a service booked online, the amount is shown to you before any payment.

FAQ

Questions clients ask before booking

Straight answers, so you know what to expect.
Who will actually handle my matter?

I do, personally, from the first call to the final document. You always know who is responsible for your file.

I am not in France yet. Can we still work together?

Yes. Most clients start abroad, before the move. Consultations take place by video and documents are exchanged securely online.

Which languages do you work in?

English and French. Written opinions can be delivered in either language.

What happens after the first consultation?

You leave with a clear view of your options and the next step. If further work is useful, you receive a written proposal and fee agreement before anything starts.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Everything you share with an avocat is protected by professional secrecy under French law (article 66-5 of the law of 31 December 1971).

Can you guarantee the outcome?

No lawyer can guarantee an administrative or tax decision. What I do is build the strongest possible file and tell you honestly where the risks are.

How are fees set?

According to the complexity of the matter, the time required and what is at stake. The fee for a consultation is shown before you book; any further work is quoted in writing first.

Can I get a written answer instead of a call?

Yes. A written legal opinion gives you a documented position you can share with your bank, employer or advisers.

How do I pay?

Online, by card, when you book. You receive an invoice for every payment.

How soon can I get an appointment?

Available slots are shown live in the booking calendar, in your own time zone.

Can I reschedule?

Yes, using the link in your confirmation e-mail.

What about larger matters?

Relocation, tax structuring, investments and company work are quoted in writing, usually as a fixed fee per stage, before any work begins.

Do you represent clients in court?

My practice focuses on advice, applications and administrative procedures. If your matter needs litigation, I will tell you early and point you to the right specialist.

Do you draft wills or property deeds?

Deeds are signed before a French notaire. I prepare the cross-border analysis so you arrive at the notaire knowing what you want and why.

Can you help with US or other foreign tax?

I advise on the French side and on how tax treaties apply. Where a foreign return is needed, I work alongside your local adviser.

Are the articles enough on their own?

They are written to answer the common cases well. They are general information, not advice on your specific situation.

I just received a refusal. What now?

Refusals come with short deadlines. Book as soon as you receive the decision, so your options can be assessed in time.

Do you work with companies relocating people?

Yes. Employers and founders can engage me directly for the relocation of executives and key hires, including the tax side.
